the song "Air" is about finding your own strength to follow your path, it is about declaration of independence. I was writing the music while Pati (the author of the text) was writing lyrics sitting next to me. From the first sounds of the melody i created we both got this feeling of knowing what the song was about. Maybe because we both needed it at that time. The song became a symbol of knowing what you want, of not being dependent on any one, of trusting your guts and finding our wholeness, of being connected to the whole world once you stop being focused on some one, or something. there is always a bigger picture. look around. the currents lift you up when you let them. the song is about letting yourself be. be who ever you want to be.
